Southside Behavioral Health Invites You to Participate in Virginia’s Young Adult Survey

BRUNSWICK, MECKLENBURG, & HALIFAX, VIRGINIA – Are you 18-25 years old and living in Virginia? We need you to take the Virginia Young Adult Survey! Our community services board, Southside Behavioral Health, is distributing the survey in our communities.

“We want to hear about your experiences and opinions on substance use and mental health in our community. Your responses will help us develop health and wellness programming that better meets your needs,” said Southside Behavioral Health Prevention Manager Kenan Tyner-Smith.

This statewide survey of young adults was developed in partnership with Virginia’s Office of Behavioral Health and Wellness (OBHW) at the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and their partner, OMNI Institute, a nonprofit organization working with Community Service Boards (CSBs) and coalitions across Virginia to learn more about substance use, mental health and health related behavior, among young adults. The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. Southside Behavioral Health has a $15 gift card link on the survey as a thank you for our local young adults.

“To participate in the survey, please click here or text Virginia to 855-632-2201,” said Tyner-Smith. If you have any questions, you can reach out at this email address: prevention@southsidebh.org. Thank you so much partnering with us to keep Virginia healthy!
