SBH Wins Grant to Fight Homelessness

Southside Behavioral Health has been awarded additional Permanent Supportive Housing slots for our local housing program. On May 20th, we were informed that we have been approved for ten additional slots so that we will be able to house more individuals in the community. We now have funding for a new position (rental administrator) and with this grant, we are also going to implement EBP (evidence-based practices) like CTI (Critical Time Intervention) to increase program fidelity!

We now have more funding to assist individuals with housing in the community. This helps improve overall community health by reducing the economic strain of caring for at-risk individuals via EDs, jails, emergency services, and other local resources. Additionally, we are working toward property development grant opportunities to create properties dedicated to serving the underserved by increasing access to affordable housing.
