Prevention Services hosts a blended Adult Mental Health First Aid

Prevention Services hosted a blended Adult Mental Health First Aid class for 27 staff members of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center on Friday, July 28, 2023.
Mental health First Aid Teaches adults how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in adults. The training introduces common mental health challenges and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.
