Prevention hosts ACEs and Lock & Talk VA at SVCC – Keysville
Prevention Services hosted an Understanding Adverse Childhood Experience training and a Lock and Talk VA presentation on the Keysville Campus of Southside Virginia Community College on Wednesday, March 22 in the library.
Understanding Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) helps raise awareness and provide resources in an effort to reduce ACEs, foster resilience, and improve the overall health of our communities.
Lock & Talk VA is a suicide prevention initiative that promotes safe and responsible care of lethal means and limiting access to lethal means for a person in crisis. Promoting these practices and encouraging community conversations around mental wellness is vital to the mission of preventing suicide.
