Elizabeth Engelhorn
I started my career very young working at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children at the age of 19. I obtained a Master’s in Psychology and Counseling from Goddard College in Vermont. I worked in various capacities, working with adults and children with both mental health diagnoses, substance use, and intellectual disabilities. I enjoyed the time working in community mental health the most because it provided me with the ability to work in all these different areas. I moved from direct care to clinical administration in Rhode Island where I managed community-based services. My love for community health brought me to Southside, where I am now able to work with amazingly talented professionals and work in a community that values the health and wellbeing of everyone we serve.
