Alisha Wright

Alisha Wright is the Director of Clinical Services at SBH. Alisha recently moved to the area after falling in love with the community during a camping trip with family. Although she is new to the area, Alisha is no stranger to crisis work. Alisha served as a Peer Suicide Prevention Counselor as a teenager in Roanoke, VA. After receiving her Bachelors of Psychology from Roanoke College, Alisha worked for several years as a Qualified Mental Health Professional, where she sharpened her skills helping people live safely in the community and where she developed a passion for sharing her knowledge and skills through training staff. While receiving her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville, Alisha worked as a Mental Health Case Manager. Alisha’s passion for helping people in crisis called her to begin her career in Emergency Services in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, where she advanced to Lead Emergency Services Clinician. In this role, she was able to assist her colleagues with sharpening their skills relating to the process, laws, and best practices for people experiencing mental health crises. Alisha finds fulfillment in helping others and feels that every day is an adventure. Alisha may often be found outdoors running, mountain biking, camping, or kayaking, or with a cup of coffee and her cats.
