Mental Health in the Black Community

In honor of Black History Month, learn more about mental health in the black community through the resource list below. Each of these hand-picked articles will walk you through a history of mental illness as it relates to the black community, offering up an understanding of where we are now and how we got here. Additionally, they will also provide examples for how to move forward within our communities to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within our local governments and organizations. There is still much work to be done and one of the easiest ways to get started is through building trust and access to local services through transparent communication and leadership.
