Mental Health First Aid
Identify. Understand. Respond.
Mental Health First Aid is a FREE 8-hour course that teaches participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
This training helps attendees identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Currently, there are two specific trainings offered:

Mental Health for Adults - This focuses on mental health issues in adults.

Youth Mental Health First Aid - this addresses mental health issues experienced by youth.
Both trainings are offered by Southside Behavioral Health's Prevention Team
