This non-exempt position is responsible for developing and maintaining community awareness in each county for the purpose of promoting substance abuse prevention programs for at-risk youth by assessing community needs and active coordination with other agencies.
Responsibilities
This position at Southside Behavioral Health works with the Prevention Manager and will be a member of the Prevention Department. This position is funded for the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Project. This position must use prevention strategies that have a demonstrated evidence-base, and are appropriate for the population(s) focus. The person in this position must work in collaboration with the Prevention Manager to respond to information requests in a timely fashion, assist in entering data into Performance Based Prevention System, and submit reports by established deadlines and will request technical assistance as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human services. Previous work experience with at-risk youth. Knowledge of prevention program development and funding sources. Knowledge of community resources, needs and service delivery systems, as related to prevention services. Must meet all criminal background and drug screening requirements. . Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
