SBH is seeking a qualified individual for it’s Front Desk Floater position located in South Boston, VA.  This position provides comprehensive front desk support services to all clinical staff. This is a Floater position, which requires the incumbent to be flexible in covering at different locations.  

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Enters (and accesses) client data into the agency’s electronic health records (EHR) system in accordance with Board policies and procedures
  • Scanning, maintaining and updating of protected health information (PHI) records
  • Performing administrative intake services for new clients
  • Receptionist duties including scheduling client services, maintaining staff schedules and appointments as required, telephone services (screening, directing calls, taking messages, etc.), and assisting supervisor with special projects, data collection and other duties as needed. 
  • When tasked to do so, substitutes as front desk support for other agency programs/sites. 
  • Must work extended hours on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s until 7pm. (This time may be flexed or receive overtime.
  • This position requires flexibility. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED minimum; prefer medical terminology certificate. 
  • Previous clerical and/or secretarial experience/training. 
  • Training in office systems technology and/or computer information systems.
  • Prior work experience as typist, and/or secretary/receptionist helpful. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fingerprinting and satisfactory results on State & FBI criminal record reports. 
  • Favorable central registry (CANIS) report and drug test results.
