CFS Attends CSA Conference

CFS staff members who work with the Children’s Services Act (CSA) Coordinators—who facilitate FAPT and CPMT—had the opportunity to attend the CSA Conference this week. During the conference, they learned strategies for incorporating Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) into the treatment plans of the youth and families we serve. SEP-VA presented data highlighting differences in treatment length, success rates, and costs between evidence-based and non–evidence-based interventions. This presentation reinforced the value of integrating EBPs into our Family Individualized Treatment Plans, demonstrating that such approaches can be both time- and cost-effective. Implementing EBPs will help the CSA reduce expenses, enabling our local CSBs to serve more families in the community and support family preservation efforts.
