SBH Hosts Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training at the Estes Center
Southside Behavioral Health’s Prevention Services team hosted an ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training session, a 15-hour suicide prevention in-person training, that focuses on teaching individuals how to be suicide alert and create safety plans for those in crisis. It was supported by www.livingworks.net. Sixteen individuals from across our catchment area from EMS teams, local courts, school systems, and concerned citizens participated in the training at The Estes Center in Chase City on Thursday and Friday, January 27 & 28, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
