Run for Recovery
Help us increase awareness and show support for those struggling with addiction and recovery.
Run for Recovery 2021!
Due to the unique circumstances of COVID-19, our inaugural Run for Recovery 2020 was conducted virtually. For four days (09/18/2020 - 09/21/2020), individuals from across our communities came together (separately) to celebrate recovery, support family and friends of those who have lost loved ones, and dismantle the stigma surrounding addiction and recovery.
Luke’s Legacy Team
Luke’s Legacy Team is walking in honor of Luke Wazeka. Luke passed on September 30, 2019. He was 30 years old. Unfortunately, he had been fighting addiction since he was 16 years old. Along with his addiction, he struggled with undiagnosed mental health issues. As a team, they want to honor the person he was: the master mechanic, the carpenter, the brick-mason, the partner. Anything he touched, he could fix. He loved unconditionally and he would have been an amazing father. All he ever wanted was his own family. He finally had it and unfortunately, his addiction stripped it away. He would give anyone the shirt off of his back. He was kind, loving, and absolutely hilarious! Everyone who knew him loved him. He was an amazing, unforgettable soul.
